2012-01-07: Dusseldorf (GER), Zakk
Tour Diary
Düsseldorf. Tour Finale! … which always puts all participants under high pressure. However, this was damped by a very relaxed set-up and the professional staff of the venue.
The old lie of the sound engineers (“It will sound better as soon as the venue is filled with people!”) has never been more true, by the way. At least we hoped so when we played for the concrete in the huge, roundish venue…
And yes – it was exactly like that! The Zakk was filled to the bursting point with at least 900 people, among them as many In Legend supporters as never before. The Ruhr district and Düsseldorf finally proved itself as THE In Legend stronghold. All people partied hard and sang along so loudly that one could almost forget that there would be another headliner coming up. And we came to the conclusion that the gigantic circle pit of Hameln could not be surpassed only because of the lack of space. The audience pushed us to our limits, and we pushed them in return. Everything went fine. It was also a good idea to include “Universe” into the setlist again, which was mostly due to one girl who had promised to pay for a round of shots if we played the song… which she did later on.
We were happy.
Despite all the partying going on during the sets of In Legend and Orden Ogan, the fans did not show any symptoms of fatigue at any point of the evening. The riot that was going on during the Van Canto show was just insane. Everyone went deaf thanks to the fan chants. Thus, we and the Orden Ogan guys didn’t shy away from properly storming the stage with our (unplugged) instruments while Van Canto were playing their classic cover “Fear Of The Dark.” Yes, three metal bands played THE metal classic in front of THE metal audience…
Straight after the tear-down, we celebrated a more than worthy tour finale with an after-show party at Pitcher, a very cool rock ‘n’ roll bar owned by organizer Andy. Just some words to sum up the rest of the more than boozy night: If you can remember anything, you were just not there…
A huge thanks goes out to Van Canto, Orden Ogan and all the old and new fans that we met on this kickass tour. After all these great experiences, it was indeed very hard for us to return back home.
We are happy.

Eins der besten Konzerte, auf die ich bisher war :)
und in diesen Sinne will ich mich auch bei der Dame bedanken, die u.a. Schuld daran war, dass Universe gespielt wurde, denn ich liebe dieses Lied!!!
Macht weiter so!
