In Legend – Hand Hammered Piano Craft Dennis Otto – The Drumming Tornado

From early on, Dennis had been fascinated by the rockers behind the loud steel and metal plates – with preferences ranging from NIRVANA to AC/DC. Energy and power were the keys that aroused Dennis’ wish to follow in these footprints. Nowadays he was not only able to follow suit to his idols but has also found his own way to transform rhythm into pure energy.

Various bands exposed Dennis more and more to the broad music scene, and he finally gets to play at big stages such as the stadium of the soccer club Mainz 05. And he soon discovers: This is exactly where he belongs…

Apart from numerous live performances, he spends a lot of time intensively studying his instrument, and nowadays works as a free tutor for drums and percussion in the Mainz area. This work in particular makes it possible for Dennis to broaden his wide array of groove and his rhythmic understanding beyond just playing rock music.

Alongside playing in IN LEGEND, Dennis is therefore also an active member of various other formations of most different musical styles – for example he plays drums in the industrial/electronic rock band JOVIAN SPIN and he is currently a member of the nationally acclaimed gospel combo COLOURS OF GOSPEL which already gave him the opportunity to share the stage with renowned world stars such as Edwin Hawkins or David Thomas.

He once again gave proof for his outstanding drumming abilities when he entered into IN LEGEND shortly before their first tour across Germany was supposed to take place. Within only two weeks, he not only drummed his way into the hearts of the fans, but also clearly reserved his spot in the permanent line-up of the band, now being called The Drumming Tornado. Since then, he has found another duty in spreading IN LEGEND’s catchy tunes across the country!
