Heya, everyone!

We from IN LEGEND want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Also thanks a lot to everyone who came to our last show of the year in Bamberg on Friday! There couldn’t have been a better way to close this year! We hope you had such a great time as we had and we also hope you liked our surprises! ;) And we also need to mention that even fans from faraway countries such as Sweden and Greece made it to that show just to celebrate with us! That just feels incredible!! Thank you so much!!

2012-11-13 | The Daily Recording Madness

Hey there everyone -

Wow, itʻs been a while since you guys heard some news about us! Well – as you might have noticed, we are currently recording our second record and are pretty close to the finish line!

The compositions took us about five months. Now weʻre busy with recording all the audio stuff – which means: Drums, piano, bass, strings, organs, synth stuff – and of course: The vocals! Here weʻre about to work with a real gospel choir, which we are pretty excited about! We had two rehearsal sessions so far and it seems to be very promising!

Moreover, we are very happy to have Benni Cellini, cellist from the band Letzte Instanz, as a special guest – we had a lot of fun recording the weird stuff we had in mind :)

And now – speaking of the new stuff… The entire band is very excited about your reactions – how you’re gonna like the stuff weʻre doing right now… Itʻll be different, but still with our trademarks!

In total, we had around 45 compositions. 20 songs are being recorded and after their completion we will decide which ones will make it onto the next record…

Please stay tuned! We shoot for the moon, but with this attitude we only serve the best fans on this planet right!

2012-09-11 | Greetings from the whole In Legend Team!

Hey folks!

This weekend was a really special one to us! Not only because we played a show at Nocturnal Culture Night in Deutzen, but also because it was the first time that our whole IN LEGEND team came together at one place! Yes, that’s right – we NEVER had a meeting so far with all band and crew members, as most of us live in different corners of Germany or even in foreign countries like China or South Africa… This was definitely a precious moment to us and therefore we want to send out a greeting from the whole team, which – apart from the band members – also consists of Jan (our beloved sound engineer), Robert (our wonderful video editor and designer), René (our crazy webmaster), and Lisa (our untiring promoter)!

Together we are looking forward to a great future with this band! Prepare for some new sensations coming soon! … We are working hard on it! ;-)

2012-07-18 | Free Download of the Instrumental “Ivory”! // New Merch Store Online!

Legends – we have awesome news for you!

Yes, it had long been in the making… but we all know that good things come to those who wait ;) So have fun browsing our new merchandise store and getting yourself some cool stuff such as our limited sheet music book, several different t-shirts, buttons, music, keychains, string tangas, etc.! In order to thank you all for your continuous support, we want to give you a free download of the previously unreleased track “Ivory”. “Ivory” is not a “real” IN LEGEND song, but a piano instrumental that Bastian exclusively composed for a soundtrack and that he now wants to share with you all as a small gift! 2012-06-07 | New Playalong Videos & Free “Yue” Notesheet Download!

Besides, we had a Facebook competition running! As soon as we reached 4,000 Likes on our Facebook profile, we would upload the free notesheets for our instrumental song “Yue”! Well, you guys helped us reach this goal very quickly and so you got what you deserve! Thanks so much – you all rock! You can get the sheets on our DOWNLOAD SITE! 2012-05-01 | “Universe” Video OUT NOW!

Hey folks!

The time has come – check out our new video for “Universe”:

In the past, we rather focused on making videos for several “bullets” of our Ballads ‘n’ Bullets album, but with our ballad “Universe” we are now breaking this tradition. Filmed at the German island Rügen, this video impressively conveys the spirit of the song through a solo performance by Bastian and also takes the viewer to extraordinary and beautiful spots. However, future videos will feature the other legends again – of course!
Particularly responsible for the video is once again our great team consisting of Daniel Wild, Yannick Bonica, Benjamin Kiesewetter, and last but not least Robert Naumann, as well as other wonderful helpers without whom this video couldn’t have been realized. That is also why we released the slideshow video for “Yue” in advance, as an acknowledgement of our gratitude.

By the way: Some of you might have noticed that this video was released on May 1st. This date is particularly special to us because it was on May 1st, 2010 that we released our very first video for “Pandemonium” (which has been viewed over 150.000 times to date!) and also revealed our homepage http://www.inlegend.de to the public. On that day we truly realized that our team (which not only consists of us band members but also of our great background crew – René, Robert and Lisa) works very well together and that we want to bundle our efforts for a bright future. Amazing things have happened in these two years – so here’s a quick recap of the first chapters of the IN LEGEND book…

It all started in spring 2010 when we presented our limited, hand-made EP Pandemonium that was quickly sold out. To make up for this, we offered all songs of the EP as a free download on our website and a lot of people started to spread the word about IN LEGEND.
From there, things went fast: We signed a record deal with SPV Records, started working on our first album Ballads ‘n’ Bullets (which was finally released worldwide in May 2011), played a lot more great shows and tours with wonderful bands, released a lot of videos and an exclusive YouTube DVD, added a new member to the line-up, released the first IN LEGEND sheet music, etc. etc.

During all this stuff, you guys were always there to support us – some of you were with us from the start and some joined the circle of legends along the way. No matter what – we are very glad to have all of you at our side. It’s incredible to see our street team and fanbase growing bigger and bigger… and which band can say that they were as lucky as to have over 90 supporters create an own shirt with their names on the back in the first year of the band’s existence?!

Yes, thank you all so much – this could not have been possible without any single one of you.
No fans – no bands!

Let’s continue the ride and join us for the next chapter of IN LEGEND history! ;)

2012-04-17 | New Video, new Shows and a Radio Special coming up!

Hey there,

some news straight from the headquarter of the legends! After our obligatory April Fool’s joke, feel free to take these news seriously ;)

Since February, you are hopefully enjoying our video for “Soul Apart”, and you can already look forward to a new one to be released in May. This time, “Universe” got a nice video that was shot at a German island called Rügen. As an appetizer, you can watch this slideshow video:

In May, we also have 3 concerts lined up in North Rhine Westphalia (Germany), together with SIREN’S CRY and alternating opener bands. We will hit the following cities:

2012-04-01 | IN LEGEND: Remix Album “Ballads ‘n’ Bullets – The Rural Sessions” out in Summer 2012!

UPDATE April 2012: Hey folks! Of course this was just an April Fool’s joke ;) Some of you might have noticed immediately and some were probably quite shocked at first ;) Anyways, we had a lot of fun preparing this for you and we’re glad you liked our joke!

Today we have a huge announcement to make: We are gonna release a remix album for our debut album Ballads ‘n’ Bullets in summer, most likely at the end of June / beginning of July. It will be called Ballads ‘n’ Bullets – The Rural Sessions and it will be released as a special, limited collector’s item.

With this remix album, all of you should prepare yourselves to experience IN LEGEND from a totally new and different side. All songs of our debut album are being re-interpreted with an accordion/harmonica and an ukulele – there will be no piano sounds on the album. We think this new approach really shows off the versatility of IN LEGEND’s sound and thus we are very excited to hear your feedback on the new versions. Don’t worry, though: We will definitely not abandon the piano for good in the future – we just want you to know that we also have some other talents and that we are brave enough to always try something new. And we also wanted to give all of you fans something special that you haven’t heard before and that might surprise you.

We will keep you posted on this! For now, here you can already take a look at the album cover and listen to some first rough demo snippets:

2012-02-18 | New Video for “Soul Apart” + new parts of the YouTube DVD!

After an exclusive video premiere at iMusic1 yesterday, we are now ready to present to you our newest video for “Soul Apart.”. You can watch it here:

To get a better sense of the underlying story of the video, here is what Bastian had to say about it:
>> “Soul Apart” describes the consequences that the pure experiences after having been in a conflict with the depraved, while it detaches itself from it and turns away. Doing so, it was not really our intention to work up the lyrics in the video but we rather wanted to give the lyrics a whole new visual dimension accompanying the music. In a brash and degenerate environment, one individual manages to free himself by using the power of his own imagination and the given means to his own advantages. Instinct and a strong will hold his soul together and prevent him from being led astray by his perception. Those are important means to spread out your own wings.<<
